RAR is common for compressed downloads. Many upload portals, scripts, and Windows workflows still expect ZIP instead.
Quick steps
- Open RAR to ZIP.
- Upload your
.rararchive. - Download the ZIP and test extraction before deleting the original.
Tips
- Have 7Z instead? Try 7Z to ZIP.
- Linux tarball? Use TAR to ZIP.
- Need smaller backups later? See ZIP to 7Z.
- More archive paths live in the Archive Converter.
When RAR to ZIP is the right call
Convert when a recipient, CMS, or CI job rejects RAR. Password-protected archives may fail — decrypt locally first when possible. Keep RAR when the sender workflow already standardizes on it.
Archive conversions may use AnyConv365 servers; uploads are deleted after processing. Verify checksum-sensitive packages after repacking.
