Convert CBR to CBZ for comic readers and libraries
Repack CBR comic archives to CBZ so Calibre, comic apps, and library tools that prefer ZIP-based comics can open your files with AnyConv365.
Updated 2026-07-15
CBR wraps comic pages in a RAR-style container. CBZ is the same images in a ZIP — the format most readers and scripts expect today.
Quick steps
- Open CBR to CBZ.
- Upload your
.cbrarchive. - Download the CBZ and verify page order after extraction.
Tips
- Need a plain ZIP upload instead? Continue with CBZ to ZIP.
- Source was RAR, not comics? Start with RAR to ZIP.
- Smaller long-term backup? Try ZIP to 7Z after repacking.
- More archive paths in the Archive Converter.
When CBR to CBZ is the right call
Convert when your reader, Calibre plugin, or script rejects CBR but accepts CBZ. Keep CBR only if a legacy tool still requires the RAR container name.
Archive conversions may use AnyConv365 servers; uploads are deleted after processing.
